(Français) Manifestation internationale d’art de Québec invite tous les artistes émergents de la ville de Québec et de la ville de la Nation Huronne-Wendat à déposer, avant le 1er octobre 2010, leur candidature pour le volet arts visuels, arts médiatiques et métiers d’art de Première Ovation.

(Français) Candidature pour le Prix Videre Reconnaissance
(Français) Afin de souligner le travail des créateurs en arts visuels de la Capitale-Nationale, Manifestation internationale d’art de Québec décerne annuellement les Prix Videre. Parmi ceux-ci, est attribué le Prix Videre Reconnaissance visant à couronner la carrière d’un artiste toujours actif qui a su se distinguer pour la qualité de ses oeuvres. Le jury de la 18e saison des Prix Videre se réunira à l’automne prochain pour déterminer le lauréat du Prix Reconnaissance. Les artistes ont jusqu’au 27 août 2010 pour soumettre leur candidature et courir la chance de se mériter le prestigieux prix.

(Français) Le Réel merveilleux : nouvelle exposition de l’AutocART des arts visuels
(Français) Troisième exposition ambulante de l’AutocART des arts visuels depuis son inauguration en mai 2009, Le Réel merveilleux réunit les œuvres de cinq artistes professionnels d’ici. Les artistes retenus par la commissaire, madame Geneviève Pelletier, sont : Annie Baillargeon, Jérôme Bourque, Marianne Chevalier, Josée Landry-Sirois et Reuben Peter-Finley. Le vernissage aura lieu le mercredi 30 juin à 10 h à la bibliothèque Saint-Jean-Baptiste.

Mission accomplished for the Manif d’art 5!
With the fifth edition of the Québec City biennial ending Sunday, June 13, the Manif d’art organizers are looking back with pleasure and pride on the contemporary visual arts event that attracted thousands of visitors again this year. Organized in collaboration with numerous art organizations in downtown Québec City and Lévis, the Québec City biennial met and even exceeded its mark.

Carole Epp – Opening at MATERIA
From April 16 to May 30, as part of Manif d’art 5, a bi-annual event in visual arts, under this year’s theme “CATASTROPHE? QUELLE CATASTROPHE!”, MATERIA presents “A Collection of Small Miseries”. It is the first solo exhibition in Province of Quebec devoted to the ceramist Carole Epp, originally from Saskatchewan.

Manif d’art 5 Selects Atlanta-based Curator
Manifestation internationale d’art de Québec is pleased to announce the appointment of Sylvie Fortin, Editor-in-Chief of the award-winning international contemporary art magazine ART PAPERS, as curator of the Manif d’art 5, to be held in 2010. Manif d’art will celebrate its 5th anniversary with Fortin’s project in 2010.
