Jocelyne Alloucherie in Europe

In 2005, Manifestation internationale de Québec lent its support to Jocelyne Alloucherie, a well-known Québec artist, to exhibit abroad. The artist, the 2002 recipient of the Prix Paul-émile-Borduas, the highest distinction awarded by the government of Québec to a visual artist, and the 2000 recipient of the Canadian Governor General’s Award for Visual Arts, showed recent work at three European venues : L’envers/Inside-Out/A Rovescio, presented at the gallery Giudecca in Venice; Les Occidents, presented at the Urbi & Orbi biennial of Sedan Renaissance in France; and L’Envers, presented at the Canadian Cultural Centre in Paris.
