    Winner of the Canadian government’s 2000 Governor General’s Award for Visual Arts

    Jocelyne Alloucherie lives and works in Montréal. In 1973, she presented her first solo exhibition at the Musée nationale des beaux-arts du Québec. Her work has since been shown in numerous individual and group exhibitions. Increasingly important projects abroad, coupled with distinctions such as the Canadian Governor General’s Award in Visual Arts, have made her in internationally recognized artist. Her work has been shown at the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo, at the Third International Biennial of Photography and Visual Arts in Liege, at the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography in Ottawa and at the Centre for Contemporary Art Zamek Ujazdowski in Warsaw. She was recently cited for her exhibition PiÈges, in Tarragona, Spain and for her participation in Confluence at the London Art Gallery. Jocelyne Alloucherie’s work may be found in public collections in several countries, including the United States, Switzerland, Italy and France. She is represented by Miller-Geisler in New York, Françoise Paviot in Paris and Roger Bellemare in Montréal.
