Jiwan Larouche

With a background in puppetry and theatre, Jiwan Larouche makes hybrid creations that combine animals, plants, and humans. Their interests include the fluidity of identity, body diversity, and the human-nature relationship. Their work has been presented at the Centre Materia, the Musée de la civilisation, the Musée du Bas-Saint-Laurent, and at Diamant. They are the recipient of several prizes in the visual arts, including the Prix Materia (2022), the Prix MMAQ (2022), and the Prix Coup de coeur Télé-Québec (2022). In addition to their art practice, they also do cultural mediation work with seniors and children.
